A quad cab is one of two available cab styles on the Ram 1500. This four-door cab has seating for up to six passengers with a 40/20/40 front bench seat. You’ll receive a total passenger volume of 117 cubic feet.
Of the two four-door, two-row cab styles, the Quad Cab is slightly smaller than the Crew Cab. The Crew Cab gets almost an extra foot of rear leg room, which accounts for an extra 15 cubic feet of storage space.

However, you’ll find that because of the Quad Cab’s smaller size, it has higher towing and payload capabilities — over 1,000 pounds in towing and 300 in payload — which can make a significant difference in how you use your truck. If you plan on using your Ram 1500 to tow trailers, boats, or small campers, you’ll want to consider equipping your truck with the Quad Cab.
